If you’re not involved in helping businesses that already exist in your city and not marketing your city to bring in new business, you’re not doing your job. My intention is to make Southaven the most business friendly city in North Mississippi. As your mayor, I will work diligently to market the entire city of Southaven to a variety of companies so that our residents have the opportunity to make a good living with quality companies.

The businesses that are already here, I will work with those companies to ensure they feel that they are an important part of the economic success of our city. As businesses, we can all work together to ensure our city thrives and prospers as a major economic powerhouse that it has the potential to be now and in the future. Southaven has the accessibility to major thoroughfares, the potential workforce, and areas for potential growth for any company that comes to our city. Bringing more business to our city means more prosperity for our residents. And that means more prosperity for our city overall.

City Hall belongs to the citizens of Southaven, not just to the Mayor and Board of Aldermen.  With that being said, if I am entrusted to be your mayor, I will listen to residents about ideas and/or concerns they have about our city.  To ensure the success of our city, it is going to take everyone working together to make that happen.  I intend to lead through active engagement and be a visible part of our city.  I want to see everyone out in different areas in the community whether it be the grocery store, a restaurant, the movie theater, or church.  I want to be someone you feel like you can walk up to, shake my hand, and say hello to when you see me. We are all in this together and that is how I intend to lead our great city.

As mayor I will work to fully staff our police force. In order to protect our city, our police officers need to be equipped with the proper equipment and training. I will listen to our police chief to see what he feels is needed for the force to do their job in the most efficient way possible. I am committed to doing whatever it takes to curb crime in our city. The safety and security of our residents is at the forefront of my decision to run for Mayor of Southaven. Our officers are on the front lines of what is going on in our city and I will listen to what they feel are the needs of our city from a safety standpoint.

Along with police, I will make sure our fire departments have the resources they need to respond to the emergency needs of our residents. Without first responders where would we be? I say, we would be in a bad place. That is why we need to work diligently to ensure they are able to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
